VTS trains hospital professionals in the use of our integrated ORs and GI procedure rooms. |
To reduce downtime in the rooms, VTS trains BioMed Engineers and Technicians to maintain and troubleshoot various aspects of our integrated ORs and GI procedure rooms. |
VTS customizes technical training for field engineering, service, sales and project management disciplines. |
The topics listed below are a subset of the curriculum in a VTS Technical Training course:
- Video Basics and Introduction to Video Integration
- Proper procedures for pulling cable and terminating cable connections
- Video image technology
- How to minimize interference (EMI/noise) when running video cables, determining the cause of noise and eliminating noise
- Identifying the various types of video image distortions
- Comparative signal technology
- Comparative display technology – CRT, Plasma and LCD
- Video calibration
- Resolution, Aspect ratio, Video formats
- NTSC versus PAL, HD versus SD and Interlaced versus Progressive Scan
VTS education courses, other than In-Service Training, can be held at the VTS training facility, in Melville, New York, where hands-on techniques can be demonstrated.
In-Service Training follows the installation of a VTS Integrated OR or GI procedure room and is provided to the healthcare professionals who will use the system. This ensures that all aspects of the integrated room are fully functional and a degree of comfort has been achieved by the physicians and nurses that will be utilizing the newly integrated room.
