The modern operating room (OR) deploys a complex array of video, audio and data devices that must be precisely orchestrated to provide superior patient care. Clinical personnel must efficiently manage technical devices under very busy and often stressful conditions. An integrated OR simplifies the management and coordination of these devices and puts control at the fingertips of the surgical team.
VTS provides classroom and hands-on training for various OR and technical support disciplines. There are two distinct training programs offered by VTS which address the following subject matter:

In-Service Training
In-Service Training follows the installation of a VTS Integrated OR or endoscopy procedure room and is provided to the healthcare professionals who will use the system. This ensures that all aspects of the integrated room are fully functional and gives the physicians and nurses the confidence that they will properly utilize the newly integrated room. The In-Service Training is structured for each hospital based on the functionality of the integrated system installed.
Technical Training
The goal of the VTS technical training program is to educate biomed engineers, service technicians and installation professionals to become subject matter experts in their disciplines. With highly trained personnel installing and supporting an integrated OR, troubleshooting can begin immediately resulting in quick remediation and minimal downtime in the OR or procedure room.

Maintaining & Supporting an Integrated OR
This course is designed specifically for hospital bio-med, IT and A/V personnel who are first responders for service issues in their hospital’s integrated OR systems.

The VTS Technical Training courses are held at VTS headquarters in Melville, New York, where hands-on techniques can be demonstrated and troubleshooting practiced in state-of-the-art “mock” ORs.
