St. Luke Hospital West
Cardiovascular OR with Advanced Integration
St. Luke is the first center of its kind in Northern Kentucky to offer state-of-the-art care for patients with vascular diseases. St. Luke new operating suite, designed and installed by VTS, will accommodate interventional radiology procedures, endovascular procedures, minimally invasive procedures and open procedures for any specialty.
VTS’ integration of equipment provides touch panel control for a multitude of devices including imaging, overhead and surgical lighting, observation cameras, an integrated C-arm, CD players, flat screen monitors and the Hospital Information System. It integrates equipment, personnel and technology into one efficient system.
The new technology allows information to be transmitted to printers and monitors both inside and outside the operating room. Video conferencing enables the surgeons to send images, data and audio outside the OR to facilitate advanced teaching methodologies. VTS’ solution also provided the capacity to broadcast surgical procedures to the radiology conference room, teaching institutions and other operating suites.
